Cheesy Cauliflower and Broccoli

Slow cooked broccoli florets, cauliflower florets, cheddar cheese soup and bacon topped with cheddar cheese.

Ingredients -
4 Bacon Slices
1 (10 ounces) package Frozen Broccoli, thawed
1 (10 ounces) package Frozen Cauliflower, thawed
1 can Cheddar Cheese Soup
Salt and Fresh Ground Black Pepper, to taste
1/4 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
 
Preparation:

1. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium-high heat until crisp.

2. Drain the bacon well on clean paper towels, the crumble.

3. Place the broccoli and cauliflower and cheddar cheese soup in a slow cooker.

4. Add the crumbled bacon.

5. Season with salt and pepper.

6. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours.

7. Top with the cheddar cheese about 20 minutes before you are ready to take it out of the crock pot.

When purchasing cauliflower, choose specimens that have bright green leaves, and heads that are very firm and free of rot and blemishes.

Mature Plants

Cauliflower heads will yellow and the florets will begin to spread apart from each other as they over mature.
